Hi The Association Inc. Band, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind our success is the team. We are an amazing collective of skilled professional musicians and we have an amazing leadership and marketing team that makes our brand a success!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
The Association Inc. is Live art through music! The Association Inc. is a collective of instrumentation fused in every genre of music. Listeners can enjoy unique interpretations of R&B, Jazz, Soul, Funk, Rock & Roll, touches of Country, and accents of Gospel. The unique musicianship and mastery of music is what sets The Association Inc. apart of bands in the live music community, that’s our Super Power!

The Association Inc. is the brain child of Musical Director, Marcus Walker. The vision of The Association Inc. was driven from Marcus’ drive and ambition upon his return to the music scene after a hiatus. The Association Inc. band began as the The TLH Band, the house band for the popular Turkey Leg Hut restaurant for many years. The band played at the Turkey Leg Hut for years as the house band on Tuesdays for the restaurants popular Steak Night.

The band grew in popularity and garnered a viral fanbase catapulting the band to an International audience such as: Brasil, Nigeria, Canada, and Dubai. In the spring of 2022, The TLH Band was rebranded into The Association Inc. while it’s fanbase has continued to grow and expand domestically and internationally.

Anything in life that is worth the promise is comes with adversity, the band took a short hiatus during the rebrand upon exiting the Turkey Leg Hut platform to regroup and chart their next steps for the next phase of music. What has been learned throughout the course of things is that timing and endurance wins every time!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Wow, this is a tough questions as there are so many amazing attractions, eateries, and venues to see. We would definitely plan an outing to visit Z23onTheRooftop. The view of the city from this location is absolutely amazing. We would plan a trip to Grace’s on Kirby to experience the amazing cuisine and scenery. Lastly, we would close out the trip with visiting Esther’s Cajun Cafe & Soul Food for Sunday Funday to get a taste of authentic Cajun cuisine and Soul Food with listening to the sounds of The Association Inc.

The Association Inc. is live every Sunday at Esther’s Cajun Cafe from 2pm-6pm serving the best live entertainment in the city of Houston!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
The Shout Out Is dedicated to The Association Inc. Leadership Team. The vision and leadership of any organization is the forecast of it’s success to come. The leadership and vision of this team is what makes The Association Inc. the front runner in the Houston area in musicianship.
