We had the good fortune of connecting with Todd Wayy and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Todd, do you have some perspective or insight you can share with us on the question of when someone should give up versus when they should keep going?
Never underestimate the power of perseverance and the impact of even one person believing in you. When things seem bleak, that single source of support can inspire you to keep pushing forward. By staying committed to your goals, you not only build resilience but also open doors to new opportunities you may have never imagined. Success often begins with the courage to keep going, no matter the challenges.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My journey to where I am today has been anything but easy, but it has been deeply rewarding. Starting as an anime content creator during the pandemic, I found joy in sharing my passion for anime and nerd fandom with the world. That passion grew into something much bigger when I decided to combine it with my love for videography and storytelling. This led to the creation of Lyfestyle Visuals LLC, a business where I could provide services for others while continuing to explore my creativity.
The road has been full of challenges, from learning new skills in editing and production to navigating the complexities of running a business. There were moments of doubt, setbacks, and sleepless nights, but each obstacle taught me resilience and adaptability. Through it all, I’ve been blessed with incredible opportunities to connect with like-minded individuals, showcase my talents, and grow professionally.
The most important lessons I’ve learned are the value of persistence, the power of community, and the importance of staying true to your vision. My journey has shown me that no matter how tough it gets, the process itself can lead to unexpected growth and success.
What I want the world to know is that Lyfestyle Visuals LLC isn’t just a business—it’s a reflection of my passion and a testament to the idea that creativity can thrive even in the face of adversity. My story is one of transformation, fueled by a love for storytelling and a belief that every moment—no matter how small—has the potential to inspire.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend came to Houston for a week, I’d combine art, food, and fitness for an unforgettable trip:
• Day 1: Start with breakfast at The Breakfast Klub, visit the Museum District, and grab dinner at Turkey Leg Hut.
• Day 2: Explore street art in EaDo, hit Species Gym for a high-energy workout, and dine at Nobie’s.
• Day 3: Tour Project Row Houses, grab BBQ at Killen’s, and enjoy drinks at Axelrad Beer Garden.
• Day 4: Spend the day at Alphaland, then refuel at Lucille’s and cap off with live music at White Oak Music Hall.
• Day 5: Stroll Buffalo Bayou Park, grab dinner at Uchi, and experience Houston nightlife at Boheme.
• Day 6: Hit the Heights for brunch at Dish Society, explore Gallery M Squared, and enjoy pizza at Coltivare.
• Day 7: Wrap up with breakfast at Common Bond and a gym session at Alphaland before farewell tacos at Ninfa’s.
A perfect mix of art, food, and fitness!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
This is dedicated to my biggest support system my Mother and my Love, Jazmin, who have stood by my side through some of the hardest times of my life. That level of unwavering love, strength, and support have been my foundation. I’m forever grateful for each of you, and everything I do is for our brighter future together. Thank you for believing in me, even when the road was toughest.
