We had the good fortune of connecting with Tori Lenee and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tori, what’s the most important lesson your business/career has taught you?
The most important lesson my business has taught me is that no matter what never give up. Things are never going to be super easy or handed to you. You have to work for it. Work for it when you tired, when you’re sad, when you’re mad, when you’re not motivated. It will not always be easy. But do not give up, because that hard work will really pay off.
What should our readers know about your business?
I believe what sets me apart from others is my customer service I provide to my customers. I’m hands on with my business. I email, text, and reach out to my customers and clients directly. I make sure I handle any and every concern or issue to the best of my ability to make sure they have the best experience with my business. I’m most excited about seeing where my business ventures take me. Seeing the success of my business and hard work over the next five years.
This has not been an easy road at all. But when you know the life you want for yourself, and you see the bigger picture so it makes the bad days a little easier.
A long the way I’ve learned that networking and the experience you provide your customers is one of the most important parts of the business.
I want the world to know that it’s possible, anything is possible I didn’t grow up with the best circumstances but you are not you environment. I am just a girl from the Southside of Chicago that decided to go for it! Anything you want to do is possible as long as you put the work in.
And as far as my brand this is really me, I live it ,I breath it, I wear it everyday!
I sell hair extensions, cosmetics , lash supplies and I provide lash extension services.
When you get an order or a service from me I really put love into it. Because I really love what I do.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We would for sure hit up Prospect Park its a bar/ lounge type of chill setting and they have good food. I’m a foodie I love food so one thing we gonna do is eat. Bar Louie is also one of my favorite happy hour places. I’ll do Benihana anytime of day or night! I love fried rice. Also James Harden has a restaurant here that I love called Thirteen. Food is great ambience is even better. We would for sure hit up a pool party or two. Go see all the murals Houston has with all the super cool art. But mostly anywhere there is good food , good music and hookah! Me and my best friend will have a ball! I’m honestly a home body at heart so chilling in my back yard sipping a nice glass of wine watching my dogs play is how I love to spend most of my free time.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My boyfriend, my mom, my favorite cousin, family and my friends. They all constantly tell me how proud they are of me, they push me to my full potential and tell me to keep going all the time. My mom is literally my best friend! I talk to her at least 10 times a day and every time she tells me how proud of me she is. And that is everything because we want to make our parents proud and it really keeps me going! My favorite cousin has been a day one supporter she was the first person to place an order, she even gave me seed money to get started! She has been my biggest cheerleader! My boyfriend has supported me so much thru my entrepreneurial journey from day one! Especially in the times I’m stressed or wanting to give up. He lets me know quitting is not an option!
