Hi Toye, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Rawkicks the company was started to provide a pre order service to sneakerheads who work on release day or simply don’t have access to the latest kicks. Rawkicks the brand is apparel and accessories to match the latest kicks. Often we go get the latest kicks and everyone is buying the apparel available in store, Rawkicks provides more options to help you stand out from everyone else.

Please tell us more about your work. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
Rawkicks was established in 2015 as a sneaker reselling company. In 2019 we expanded the brand and became a clothing company as well. The clothing brand was originally supposed to be called something else but the original logo for Rawkicks was so awesome I decided to have it printed on shirts to match some shoes that came out at that time and it got such a great response we decided to make more items with the logo and keep it all under Rawkicks. The reselling side of the business is the easiest. The clothing is a little harder because you have to have the right team to make you vision come to life. Having the right designers and quality products is key. You will get the best quality from Rawkicks. We are growing and getting better every year.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I have to recognize and say thanks to my family and close friends who help keep me uplifted going forward. A special shoutout to my brother Hassan, who is one of the brands photographers/videographer and who has helped visually expand the brand and marketing. A special shoutout to all my employees who help fulfill my customers needs. Thanks to all of my customers for the continued support. Last but not least I have to recognize Marc Ecko and Nipsey Hussle. Both Ecko unlimited and The Marathon Clothing have major influence on Rawkicks.
