We had the good fortune of connecting with Tre Bennett and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tre, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My thought process was just figuring out how I could stay attached to the game of basketball and impact the lives of others even after my playing career came to an end.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I run a basketball training business. I believe my willingness to go above and beyond for my clients sets me apart from the average trainer. I’m most excited about the connections I’ve made throughout the past year and what’s to come within the next year for “Ice Tre Basketball Training”. I would say I got to where I’m at today by having faith and being able to build relationships with people who contribute to the overall success of my business. Having a consistent pursuit in what you love to do is also key to building a successful business and brand. Every business owner must know that there will be be bumps in the road along the way but I challenge everyone to just keep pressing forward. It’s always worth it in the end.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
There are a number of nice parks in the city. I would definitely recommend Herman Park and Memorial park for a nice workout or even just a walk around the park to enjoy the scenery of the outdoors.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to give a shoutout to my mother and father for always supporting me along my journey. My father introduced me to the game at a young age and gave me many tools I needed to be successful in the game I grew to love. He made me realize the importance of having great work ethic. My mother supported every step of the way. Always kept me encouraged and balanced through the highs and lows.
