We had the good fortune of connecting with Troy Henry and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Troy, how has your perspective on work-life balance evolved over time?
In the past I would work every night and Saturday and attempt to do life with my family in the middle of it. Recently I have started working three to four nights per week and taking an entire night for a ‘family night’ to help balance how I spend my time.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I started the business after helping friends with their visual design and marketing projects and it progressed from there. I have continually learned along the way and I still have a long way to go. Over the last 10 months my business has dramatically increased, but it took three years to get to this point.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Assuming they would do whatever I like to do then we would go hiking in a state forest or bike the trails. Then we would sit on the beach at Surfside and enjoy the breeze and some Arnold Palmers.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My wife has fully supported me from the start of this business and has sacrificed time away from me in order to allow me to do this. Now, I have had to make adjustments to make sure I do not neglect my family which she helps keep me in check.

I am also thankful for each client who trusts me enough to refer me to others.
