Meet Undone WRSHP | Contemporary Christian Band

We had the good fortune of connecting with Undone WRSHP and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Undone WRSHP, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Honestly, at first we had no intention of being a business. We were asked to play worship for a women’s conference that was coming up in early 2020, so we put a plan together for music and started rehearsing. Once the pandemic happened, all of the events were postponed or cancelled. We weren’t sure what would happen next, so we continued meeting up every Saturday for a year to fellowship and make music with no plan in sight. During that time, we started writing our own music, hosting live online worship events and recording. But at the heart of it all, we were just a group of friends who came together to spend time in God’s presence. We spent hours in prayer and worship, but we really had no idea why. When the world started opening up again, we started getting requests to come lead worship locally at some small coffee shops and churches, and that led to events out of town as so on. I think it became a real “business” for us when we released our first single “Still God” in April 2021. The feedback and testimonies we received from that were incredible. Four years later and we’ve done some pretty amazing things! Through it all though, we’ve always wanted to just walk in obedience for what God has for us, and see how He is going to use us to reach other people.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
We believe what makes us unique is that we are a collective of worship leaders and musicians from different churches, musical backgrounds, and cultures that come together in worship. Our mission is to help lead people into the same atmosphere and experience that we have had with Jesus. We are most proud of the testimonies that make their way back to us that confirm we are doing exactly what we have been called to do. It is always sweet to see what God has been up to. We are excited to continue releasing music, and certainly proud of what we’ve already released!
We have had a lot of support to get where we are today, but we still have a lot to learn. Over the years we’ve learned that the music industry and ministry are two very different things, and we are still learning how to navigate them both.
We want to point the world to Jesus! If they know more about us than Him, we’ve failed.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Houston has no shortage of cool hangout spots, but The Coffee House at West End, Gypsy Poet, Post Houston, and The Woodlands Waterway definitely bring the fun, culture, and community spirit we love to be a part of. The Coffee House at West End is a cozy haven that makes you feel like you’ve stepped into your own personal sanctuary. The Coffee House is part of The West End Church. Gypsy Poet’s pizza menu will have you coming back for more, they have live music nights where local bands and artist are invited to play or sing for customer entertainment. Post Houston has live music, art exhibits, its a great hang out for friends, it’s a perfect place to eat, drink, and be social while enjoying the electric buzz of downtown Houston. The Woodlands Waterway, has lots of delish food options, beautiful walking areas and fun activities for the family.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
We would love to give a shoutout to David and Yvonne Walker, Aaron and Michelle Perzan, Pastors Ernesto and Vivian Gomez for their unwavering support in every way you can imagine. You have been an integral part in our growth over the last 4 years, and we absolutely would not be where we are today without you all. We love you so much!
Shoutout to our families who have been along for the ride without complaint! From built-in roadies to set-up/tear-down crew, late night rehearsals and traveling, this journey is so much sweeter with you on it!
So many other musicians, artists, producers and churches to mention by name, but they know who they are! We are grateful for your belief in what we are doing! Thank you for joining us!
