Uwade, we are so thrilled to be connecting again and can’t wait to hear about all the amazing things you have been up to. Before we jump into all of that, some of our readers might have missed our prior interview, so can you take a moment to reintroduce yourself?
My name is Uwade Alade, and I’m the proud owner of Houstatlantavegan, a vibrant vegan food truck that has become a passion project and thriving business. I not only oversee all aspects of the food truck operations but also manage my responsibilities as a landlord here in Houston.

What sets me apart? It’s my unstoppable drive. I don’t just set goals—I chase them relentlessly until they’re mine. A standout moment in my journey was back in 2021, when my best friend and I took Houstatlantavegan on an unforgettable tour. We brought our flavors and energy to Los Angeles, New York, Atlanta, and Charlotte. It was a whirlwind experience—full of challenges but brimming with excitement and growth for the brand.

Now, I’m gearing up to bring the magic back to Atlanta this year, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to continue sharing Houstatlantavegan’s journey with the world.

Awesome, so we reached out because we wanted to hear all about what you have been up to since we last connected.
Things have been exciting and full of growth since we last connected! At Houstatlantavegan, we’ve been steadily building a massive fanbase here in Houston, proving day by day that vegan food isn’t just an alternative—it’s a vibrant, flavorful experience that rivals and often surpasses traditional foods.

Of course, the journey hasn’t been without its hurdles. Last summer, we faced a tough challenge when our food truck’s engine needed major repairs. It was a costly ordeal that nearly brought our business to a halt. But through resilience and support from our amazing team, we weathered the storm. Since then, both our staff and sales have been on an upward climb.

Now, we’re heading into 2025 with momentum and big goals. This year has all the signs of being record-breaking for Houstatlantavegan, and we’re ready to deliver more flavor, creativity, and community connection than ever before. Stay tuned—it’s only getting better from here!

What are you most excited about in the coming year?
This year, I’m absolutely thrilled about taking Houstatlantavegan back on the road! There’s nothing quite like introducing new cities and communities to the amazing flavors we bring, and I can’t wait to see the smiles and excitement from fresh audiences experiencing our food for the first time.

Another big focus for 2025 is collaborations. I’m all about teaming up with like-minded creatives, brands, and businesses to create something extraordinary. From pop-ups to partnerships, you can expect plenty of exciting surprises and fresh ideas this year. It’s going to be a vibrant and dynamic time for Houstatlantavegan!
