We had the good fortune of connecting with Vanessa Malevski and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Vanessa, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
When I first saw an advertisement on the 360 booth I pondered on the idea for several months, I then realized, it was either now or never. Starting a business of my own was something I thought about, much less a photo booth business. It was the last thing I thought I would find an interest in, but I realized early on into my venture that I could easily expand my services, and grow my business as long as It was profitable.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I provide 360 photo booth services. I offer 2 different photo booth sizes that allow clients a wide variety of packages and options to choose from. My packages include photo booth only setups and setups with decorative backdrops not limited to drapes, and can range from simple to extravagant designs with balloon services and customizations. I also provide an a-la-cartè menu which gives clients creative control over designing their own photo booth package and set up based on their event needs or desires. What I am most proud of is my own strong will, focus and resilience. I leveraged my own skills and existing knowledge to build my business from scratch on my very own. I was reluctant about how far I could go in this industry but I never allowed excuses to hinder me. The biggest lesson I had to learn is that I am the only one in control of how successful I can become. I am the captain of this ship and my business will only thrive as long as I put in the work.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love a great vibe with a nice crowd with good music. I would recommend a weekend brunch in downtown Orlando, or at Santiago’s Bodega. For a nice and peaceful day out, Lake Eola and the Henry Leu Gardens are a beautiful place to spend the day, and dinner at Mango’s is always a blast!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My shoutout is dedicated to my supportive family, and closest friends have been extremely encouraging. My spouse helps with deliveries, setups, technical issues, and if there is anything I need to learn, he is always beside me learning as well. He never complains and can be counted on whenever I need his assistance. I have a wonderful group of friends, some of which are also business owners who are always just a call away! I really can’t ask for a better village for my small business.
