We had the good fortune of connecting with Vanessa Vergel and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Vanessa, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Discipline and constancy, some days I may feel tired, or sad, or lazy, it doesn’t matter how I feel I always have discipline. not every day is the same or not every day I am the same but no matter how I feel I have the discipline to work and put in the energy on my work because I know that energy feeds on more energy.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a portrait photographer, nothing makes me happier than seeing peoples faces when they see themselves in a photo, and I mean when they see their true selves,

I go to where I am today by putting my energy and discipline into my work, I just know to go with the flow and be consistent, I discover that I had a talent for taking peoples pictures and just decided to follow that path.

My biggest challenge was my self-doubt, when I realized it I knew I had to do something to overcome it, that is when I decided to discover myself, then I found my beautiful me. So now the people that come to me know my work and what I can do for them.

I want the world to know that they can have a better life by just looking outside the box and changing their perspective of things, we do suffer because we think that the only thing that exists is what we know, but there is more than that, once we realized it we stop the drama and move towards life, the kind of life we want to have.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I just moved to Houston 9 months ago from Miami, so I dont know much yet

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Definitely, my husband, he is always there! 100 %. I may have good and not so good days where I am feeling tired and like I want to give up, but he is there, every day, every time, every hour, every minute, pushing me and supporting me all the way, he would do everything for me and my children, so definitely a shoutout to him!!
