We had the good fortune of connecting with Victoria Taylor and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Victoria, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Throughout my journey of motherhood, I’ve always felt like I was the only person going through certain things because my reality was so different from most of my family. I started creating a safe space within the people outside of my normal support system to help me with the different point of views. It was when we started sharing the different things we all held knowledge in, was when I realized how necessary this sisterhood is for all working mothers. We may alI have different backgrounds and circumstances but at the depths of it all, we’re sacrificing for the same thing, our family.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Most of our meetings and event offer child care for our moms to make it easier on them. We’ve also expanded with new events to include all women!
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I for sure love going to the BB’s Cajun Kitchen, Smac’N food truck and The Greasy Spoon to eat good! Tiffney Young always host amazing events and I always enjoy seeing different local artist on the live music scene!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I could not do what I do without my glam squad for sure! A huge thank you to my children for rocking with me while I follow my dreams. To the shelters, nonprofits and organizations; I can never thank them enough for trusting me and my vision before I had a track record.
