We had the good fortune of connecting with Vincent Cole and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Vincent, how does your business help the community?
It started with the Film Birth of a Nation back in 1915, where filmed was used to create a negative stereo type of black people and the power of film created a fear of the Blackman in America, so I try to change that narrative through my works.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’ve written a memoir titled Consequence by Vince Cole Muhammad, in the book I talk about the stages of my life as a black person growing up in America which has similarities to all black men on the planet, we have to make tough choices, we have to fight poverty, crime, police and death at an early age.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
The Board Walk in Cypress to relax and have drinks by the water, Then to Screwed Up Records to get some music, Gets some Gus’s fried Chicken and ride down MLK boulevard
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
