We had the good fortune of connecting with Whitney Whitmire and Lindsay Munoz of Whitmire & Munoz LLC, and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Whitney and Lindsay, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
We believe the most important factor to our success has been our authenticity. From the start, we said we wanted to advocate and engage with clients led by a vision of what kind of world we want to pass down to our children. We have stayed true to that while meeting our clients needs and having fun in the process.

What should our readers know about your business?
We are a public affairs firm based in Houston, Texas. What sets us apart is we want to work with clients that have purpose to their policy and prioritize positive impacts within the communities where they live, work, and conduct their business. We got to where we are today by working hard and establishing genuine relationships with people with a variety of backgrounds. The biggest lesson we’ve learned is, you get what you give in life and in business.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We are big Houston sports fans, so we would definitely take them to a game depending on what season it was. Houston has one of the best restaurant scenes in the country. I would recommend trying Street to Kitchen, Himalaya Restaurant, the Pit Room, Nancy’s Hustle, and Squabble. For a drink, we love Clarkwood, Betelgeuse, and Char Bar.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
In every stage of our careers, there are individuals that have played key roles in our success. It would be impossible to single out one. We stand here today thanks to many people who stood with us throughout our journey.
