We had the good fortune of connecting with Xanthia Gordon and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Xanthia, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Starting my own business put me in the mindset of getting to choose my story from now on. God has blown a fresh wind into the staleness of my life and revive my spirit and allowed me to birth, Reflect Love, LLC. This is more than my business, this is the fulfillment of me walking in my purpose and having the ability to understand the love of and from God as it is essential to know how to love myself and then share the love with others. I believe love is the primary tool God uses to change us all and love is the foundation of my business. Before starting I felt like my scars and wounds will be a sign of hope for others to not give up and not let one bad moment define the rest of their life. As I will soon be a LPC (licensed professional counselor), I’m eager to take the journey of love, mental health, and resiliency with those who no longer want to be in the battle of the mind games. My business is where people have the opportunity to share their stories with me and I listen to help them find the best version of themselves. I’ll be honored by every story that’s shared with me.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I hope that my scars and wounds will be signs of hope for others who are on the edge and drowning in darkness. It’s important to realize that everyone may struggle or experience a difficult time at some point in their life. In my passion/work, I make it a goal to not allow the struggle or difficulty to define them. I’m most proud of my resiliency and I’m excited to serve others in their life journey. Not only will I be a LPC (licensed professional counselor) but I’ll also be a life coach. It brings joy to my heart to help someone discover or unveil the purpose and passion for their life. I will no longer paralyze myself before I even start ANYTHING. Nothing accomplished is ever easy or everyone will be doing it. I realized I would only regret the decisions that I didn’t make. I’m not prone to change in comfortability; so launching my blog and turning it into my business was my biggest leap of faith. I’ve learned that delay is not denial and someone I may not know is waiting for me to fulfill and acknowledge my purpose to save their life. I want my brand to not only be seen but felt. Reflect Love, LLC will set the mark for how we speak, live, have a growth mindset, and pursue our passions. It’ll be impactful…see LOVE, do LOVE, REFLECT LOVE.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Of course, I wouldn’t be here without the overwhelming love and strength from God. In addition, I’m grateful for the position of wifehood to my husband, Denzel Gordon. Our marriage has revealed to me another layer of my purpose, teaching me to be selfless, fearless, and anchored in faith. He’s my best friend, my rock, biggest supporter, and love of my life for eternity. My three kids, my, motivation, my JTEAM. Everything I do is for them and because of them. They shape and mold who I am and they are my why. Lastly, I’m grateful for everyone in my life that’s shared a story with me, for it has cultivated me into the person I am becoming. Reflect Love, LLC is official because of the teamwork and effort of my husband, Denzel Gordon. I can’t do life alone and I’m grateful again to live this life with him and the daily reminder to never pause the pursuit.
