We had the good fortune of connecting with Sarah Crosby and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Sarah, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I like control, when things are out of my control I tend to be more stressed. This seemed like the natural thing to do. I have four kids so being able to make my own business choices and hours to fit my family’s needs was the logical choice.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a hairstylist that specializes in low maintenance hair color. I use techniques to lengthen the life of your hair color so you can go longer in between appointments and save your time and money. I truly want my guests hair to look amazing for as long as possible. If they can go 6 months and still get compliments on how great their hair looks, I feel like I did my job. My goal at every appointment is to make sure my clients leave feeling RELAXED, RECHARGED and BEAUTIFUL.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Fave places to Eat: Woodsons in Spring
The Republic in Spring
The Fish in Houston
Komeya in The Woodlands
Taking the free trolley in The Woodlands is a great way to see the area and avoid parking when you want to shop. It’s also a great way to see some lights during Christmas.
My family enjoys going to an Astros Game or seeing a Broadway Show. Being a metropolitan area, we are blessed to see some great entertainment.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Britt Seva, of The Thriving Stylist. She is a business coach for hairstylists and helped point me in the right direction. She helped me change the way I looked at my business. I was a creative and a business owner and I needed to wear my business owner hat much more than I realized to be successful.
