We had the good fortune of connecting with Stacey Brown and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Stacey, do you have any habits that you feel contribute to your effectiveness?
A few habits that I feel that have helped me succeed have been having a clear vision from God on what my purpose in life is, when you live life with Vision it helps to discipline your life, you make certain choices that will effect your path and walk. Another habit is understanding that Failure is an event NEVER a person. I use failure as a teacher and guide to help me get where I;m supposed to go, it’s the failures of yesterday and today that help me build the foundation of success for tomorrow.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a minister of the Gospel, inspirational/motivational speaker and kingdom hip hop recording artist, I use my talents to spread a message of hope, love, and purpose through Jesus Christ, I speak at churches, schools, prisons and community centers. I understand what Im here on Earth to do. Touching people’s lives for God is what drives me daily. Having come out of a lifestyle of drugs, depression and despair I know what it;s like to wake up everyday to hopelessness and a sense of wanting to end it all but thanks be to GOD for His mercy and His grace Im alive and here today. God saved my life to save other lives that may currently be where I’ve been.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
First and foremost I would take them to my church The ROCK and then to our awesome on campus eatery FDs Famous Burgers and Chicago Style Wings, afterwards we would go catch the Astros at Minute Maid Park or Rockets play at The Toyota Center, then we’d high tail it to Kemah Boardwalk or Pleasure Pier in Galveston
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
First and foremost my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for dying on the cross and giving me eternal life, also my dynamic Apostle Dr Dana Carson who is my spiritual father and mentor of the Reflections of Christ Kingdom World Outreach International as well as my beautiful fiance’ Ms Kim Petitt who inspires me to live beyond my limitations
