When you are young and starting a career, that career and the desires for success often define who you are. I have an incredible professional mentor in my life. He told me year one, “this does not define you.” I live by those words. When I had my first child, my identity shifted. I was more than a wife and physical therapist, I was someone’s mom. My life balance has changed since launching a business. Before becoming a business owner, I had to balance my career and personal life. Now I’ve added a business. I honestly didn’t prepare myself for the change. I spent the first two months fitting the business in wherever I could. I quickly realized that wasn’t the best approach.
