We had the good fortune of connecting with Trinelle (Elle) Hughes- Thomas and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Trinelle (Elle), can you share a quote or affirmation with us?
One of my favorite quotes is from the great Winston Churchill ~ “Success is stumbling from one failure to failure without the loss of enthusiasm.”
Failing is a natural, necessary process. I think some of the sweetest victories are the ones that are most difficult. The one that requires you to reach down deep inside, to fight with everything you’ve got for your dreams. In my life, I had many failures, and every failure I was able to analyze and grow from, but I never let my shortcomings determine my destiny. I began in the entertainment business in the early 90s, however, I started a family and decided to step away to take care of my family. Almost twenty years later, I stumbled back into my passion when my youngest daughter who was fourteen at the time, wanted to model I began helping her and realized that I was helping her land bigger opportunities than the agency that represented her. I knew then that I had to continue to help her and today my daughter has modeled for some of the top brands in the industry. Helping her, helped me to see my potential. One of the biggest secrets to success is operating inside your strength zone but outside of your comfort zone.
To achieve your personal best, to reach unparalleled heights, to make the impossible possible, you can’t fear failure, you must think big, and you have to push yourself.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If I were taking a week-long trip in Houston I would start at the Breakfast Club for an amazing breakfast. After breakfast, I would take a scroll to Gerald D. Hines Waterwall Park and take some great selfies. I then would go have lunch at Turner’s restaurant on Post Oak they serve some delicious food such as creamy lobster bisque and beef carpaccio with king crab and can’t forget the alcoholic beverages that are amazing.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would love to give a shoutout to Tomeka M. Winborne the owner of Lavender Reel Media Group, LLC, she trusted me with making decisions and assisting in her film Wise Love. Under her guidance, I learned so much about the film industry and working on a production set. She took her time and explained different aspects of the business that I wasn’t aware of, she also always had a great personality and never made me feel as if I couldn’t do it. She always respected my opinion and gave great insight.
I would also love to give a shout-out to my husband and my daughters they have all been so supportive on this journey and always encouraging me to continue. I can always depend on them to have my back and assist in any way that they can, and honestly, without them, none of this would have happened.
