We had the good fortune of connecting with Brianna Morenz and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brianna, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Starting my own business came from a mix of passion, purpose, and wanting more creative freedom. As a tattoo artist, I found myself naturally drawn to fine line and dainty, feminine designs. They felt like an extension of my own personal style and what I genuinely enjoyed creating. I quickly realized there was a real need for a space where women could feel safe, seen, and celebrated in the tattoo world.

Tattooing can be such a vulnerable experience, and I wanted to create an environment that felt welcoming, respectful, and empowering, where women could express themselves without judgment or discomfort. Going out on my own gave me the chance to fully embrace that vision and build something that felt truly aligned with who I am and the kind of work I want to put into the world.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My tattoo work is really focused on fine line, dainty, and feminine designs such as florals, delicate script, and subtle symbols. I love creating tattoos that feel soft, meaningful, and timeless. What sets me apart is that I tattoo exclusively women, and I’ve created a studio environment that’s intentionally warm, safe, and calming. For a lot of clients, getting a tattoo can be a vulnerable experience, so creating a space where they feel completely at ease and celebrated is really important to me.

Getting to where I am today definitely didn’t happen overnight. I started by tattooing friends and family, learning everything I could, practicing nonstop, and slowly building my style and confidence. There were a lot of challenges like imposter syndrome, navigating an industry that hasn’t always felt the most inclusive, and learning how to run a business on top of being an artist. But I kept pushing, stayed consistent, and leaned on my community when I needed to.

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that staying true to your vision, even when it doesn’t look like what everyone else is doing, really does pay off. I’m proud that I’ve created a space that reflects my values and allows me to connect with people on such a personal level.

If there’s one thing I want people to know about my brand and my story, it’s that it’s built on intention. Every part of what I do, from the art to the experience, is about making women feel beautiful, empowered, and comfortable in their skin.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Houston is full of creative and inspiring places! Whether it’s food, art, a night out, or just wandering around cool neighborhoods, there’s always something to discover.

One of my go-to spots is POST Houston downtown. Between the food hall, rooftop views, local vendors, and the events and concerts they host, there’s always something happening and every visit feels a little different.

We’d do a chill afternoon in Montrose or the Heights, maybe check out local shops, grab coffee and find a tattoo-friendly plant shop or bookstore.

For nights out, I’d say drinks at Clarkwood, and at least one dinner at Nancy’s Hustle or State of Grace, some of my favorites for a vibe and amazing food.

And of course, I’d take them to one of Houston’s pop-up art markets or creative events. There’s always something going on that highlights how artistic and diverse the city is.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There’s no way I could have started this journey alone. First and foremost, I want to shout out my husband and my closest friends. They were literally my first canvases and trusted me with their skin when I was just starting out. That kind of love and support means everything, and I’ll never forget it.

I also have to give a huge thank you to my clients. I truly feel like I have the best clients in the world, so kind, supportive, and trusting. They’ve helped shape my style and my confidence, and I feel lucky to get to create with them every day.

And of course, I owe a lot of inspiration to the tattoo artists I’ve been tattooed by over the years. Watching them work and seeing how they carried themselves helped guide me before I ever picked up a machine myself. This whole journey has been a mix of influence, trust, and community, and I’m grateful for every part of it.
