Meet Jazzarie Fejeran` | Business Owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jazzarie Fejeran` and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jazzarie, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
By day, I’m a Director of Human Resources with a very serious and structured role in the corporate world. Starting Princess Parties of Houston was my way of creating something completely different—something fun, whimsical, and rooted in joy. It’s the perfect balance to my day job, and I love getting to work with incredibly talented performers from Houston’s vibrant arts scene—many of whom are professional actors, singers, and dancers. It’s a refreshing contrast to the world of business, and it brings me so much fulfillment.
But more than anything, I started this business because I have a deep love for creating magical, memorable experiences for children. Whether it’s a birthday party, a community event, or a special hospital visit, there’s nothing quite like seeing a child’s face light up when their favorite character walks into the room. Growing up, I was obsessed with Disney and had all the princess movies on repeat—so in many ways, opening a princess party company felt like a natural, full-circle moment for me. It’s not just a business—it’s a passion that brings joy to families across Houston.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
At Princess Parties of Houston, our mission is to bring the magic of childhood dreams to life through immersive character experiences—from birthday celebrations and community events to special hospital visits. Every party is thoughtfully designed to be magical, memorable, and tailored to our clients’ wishes, whether it’s a 30-minute meet-and-greet or a full-scale royal celebration with singing, dancing, storytelling, and princess training.
What sets us apart is our commitment to accessibility and personalization. While many companies only offer longer or premium packages, we proudly provide a 30-minute option that’s budget-friendly without sacrificing quality—because we believe every child deserves a little magic. We also regularly travel beyond Houston to serve families in rural areas, and we’re happy to customize any package to make a child’s dream come true.
Our growing cast includes not just princesses, but fairies, mermaids, mascots, superheroes, seasonal favorites like the Easter Bunny, and even custom characters. We’re constantly expanding our offerings and investing in our performers—who are trained actors, singers, and dancers—to ensure a high-quality, professional experience. We’ve even brought in a professional face paint artist to teach our cast, allowing us to offer face painting as an optional add-on.
Like many small businesses, the COVID-19 pandemic challenged us to adapt quickly. We introduced Zoom parties, driveway visits, and free livestream storytimes to continue spreading joy during difficult times. That experience showed us the power of creativity, connection, and community.
Today, we stay engaged with the Houston area through local events and a deep commitment to customer care. Every detail of what we do is rooted in joy, imagination, and heart—because at the end of the day, Princess Parties of Houston isn’t just a business. It’s passion dedicated to creating magical memories families will treasure for a lifetime.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend were visiting Houston for a week, I’d be so excited to show them everything that makes this city vibrant, diverse, and full of life. We’d kick things off with a visit to Space Center Houston, where they could explore NASA exhibits and feel the awe of space exploration. From there, we’d head to the Museum District, stopping by the Museum of Natural Science and the Museum of Fine Arts. To eat, I’d take them to Tiny Champions, Nancy’s Hustle or Truth BBQ—they are local favorites and never disappoint.
Throughout the week, we’d make time to relax and explore nature with a stroll through Hermann Park, the Japanese Garden, and Buffalo Bayou Park, where we could kayak or just enjoy the skyline views. I’d plan a day trip to Kemah Boardwalk or Galveston Island for some waterfront fun and fresh seafood. And because Houston is known for its food scene, we’d make stops at hidden gems like Laredo Taqueria for breakfast tacos and Bludorn for an upscale dining experience.
To really get a feel for Houston’s culture, I’d take them mural-spotting around EaDo and Midtown, shopping in The Heights and Rice Village, and catching a local show or game at Toyota Center or Minute Maid Park. We’d wrap up the week with a sunset rooftop view at POST Houston and a farewell dinner at Aga’s, a beloved Houston staple. Whether it’s art, food, history, or nature—Houston has something unforgettable for everyone.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First and foremost, I want to dedicate this shoutout to my incredible business partner, Ms. Shirley, who helped lay the foundation for everything we do. She was the original owner of Princess Parties of The Rockies in Denver, Colorado, where our company was first founded over a decade ago. Her guidance and collaboration were instrumental in helping us expand into the Houston market.
Next, I want to give a huge thank you to our team of talented performers who bring the magic to life at every gig. Their creativity, professionalism, and heart are what truly make our parties and appearances unforgettable. A special shoutout goes to Ms. Kinsey, who has been with us since the very beginning in 2019. She’s now our Royal Assistant and plays a key role in training new performers and maintaining the high standards we’re known for.
And of course, I’m forever grateful to our loyal customers—families who continue to invite us into their homes and celebrations year after year. Your support and trust mean everything to us. You’re the reason we do what we do, and we couldn’t be more thankful.
