I’ve always been passionate about natural medicine, growing up in Mexico City, my family relied on traditional remedies and herbs. Later on, I deepened that passion by studying Ayurveda formally, completing my Master’s in Ayurveda and Integrative Medicine. After years of working with healing practices like massage therapy, Marma, Reiki, and herbal remedies, it felt like a natural next step to create a cozy wellness studio here in Katy, where I could offer personalized Ayurveda and Panchakarma (the five actions that help detox and rejuvenate the body) therapies. The seeds of my creativity were planted early in life. I grew up in a family that deeply valued education, science, and culture. As a child, I was surrounded by books, music, and art while also being encouraged to pursue a practical career. This led me to a long and meaningful journey in the medical field, where I specialized in stroke research and mental health, often collaborating with government institutions to improve people’s lives on a systemic level. As a dog trainer, I view risks as opportunities for growth. Risk-taking plays a crucial role in my career by pushing me to adopt new training techniques, expand my offered services, and reach a wider client base. While I do understand that the outcome of taking risks can be negative it is essential for improving and achieving long-term success in not only the field of dog training but in life as well. At its core, my work is about giving people peace of mind and helping them protect what matters most — their health, their family, and their financial future. Insurance can feel overwhelming and intimidating, but when someone truly understands their options, they can make decisions that bring real security and confidence. That changes lives in very real ways, especially during life’s toughest moments. Read More>>

My thought process when starting my business wasn’t the traditional route most take. I wanted a business I wasn’t just passionate about, I also wanted a business that would constantly change to keep me active and force me to think out the box. After some time, we landed on the transportation and logistics industry. During the pandemic a lot of the world stopped, one key factor that remained was the movement of goods within the trucking, freight, and air parcel sectors. Read More>>

When it’s all said and done, I want my legacy to be that I poured energy into people, especially kids. That I helped build something that gave young players—regardless of their background—a chance to fall in love with soccer and with their own potential. I want to be remembered not just as a coach, but as someone who created access, opportunity, and joy through the game. With Pasadena Energy FC, the mission has always been bigger than wins or trophies. We’re building something in a community that often gets overlooked.  Read More>>

Authenticity. Serene Beans would not have lasted 10 Years if we did not stay true to who we are and our mission here. Karen Howard started this coffee shop as an escape and a safe space for people in recovery ( whatever that means to you). When i bought in to the shop and started running it, everyone asked me what i was going to change, my answer is still the same as it was two years ago, Not a dang thing. besides updating events and some cosmetic decor and drink items, the soul of serene beans has stayed exactly the same. I am beyond proud to have my name attached to a place where so many people come to find peace and an amazing cup of coffee. Read More>>

One thing people don’t realize about our industry, especially here in Houston, is that there’s a huge difference between a contractor and a true design-build partner. Most homeowners think all contractors are the same – they assume we just show up, tear things down, and rebuild what was there before. But the reality is, many contractors in Houston are purely transactional – they’re focused on getting in, getting out, and moving to the next job. Read More>>

It demands full-time focus , long hours, and constant effort. Right now it’s a part time business for me, but I’m lucky to have a partner who’s in the field 12 hours or more doing the heavy lifting. That’s what makes it work a strong foundation built on teamwork and trust! Read More>>

I see balance as dynamic. It’s the pendulum on a grandfather clock swinging back-and-forth through its point of equilibrium…it’s your standing foot in a yoga tree pose constantly shifting on the ground to maintain your upright posture. There’s nothing static about it. For me, then, balance becomes a daily interplay. I’m not looking to ‘achieve’ balance, as if it’s something outside of me that I can attain and maintain. It’s a sense, a feeling that I’m looking to embody. And I use my body as guide.  Read More>>
