We had the good fortune of connecting with Teneille Ripple and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Teneille, as a parent, what have you done for you children that you feel has had the most significant impact?
We have three children; 12, 9, and 7. We started this business when I was pregnant with my 9 year old. I continued teaching until I had my 7 year old. Having our own business has given us the freedom to be very active in our children’s lives. I have been the vice president and secretary of the PTO at their school and Josh has been able to coach our boys in baseball. We are able to eat lunch with them, watch their school performances, etc.

What should our readers know about your business?
Ripple Septic Services, LLC is a true example of living the American Dream. Josh (my husband and co owner) decided in his early 30s to take a risk and start his own septic installation and maintenance company. He is very personable and hardworking so it didn’t take long for him to develop a clientele. Within a year, we hired our first employee. About a year later, we decided to go all in. I quit my job as a teacher, sold my car and our house in town. We were able to buy 5 acres, a cheap mobile home, and the vehicles/equipment we needed. We have faced several hurricanes, Covid, and a serious freeze, but at the end of the day, everyone has to poop! We now have 3 technicians and an office manager. 3 out of those 4 have worked for us for 5+ years. Josh and I believe in quality employees and treating them as such. As a team, we work hard to create relationships with our customers. Communication and reliability is a must in our industry. We strive to continue growing with the services we offer while still maintaining those relationships.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We are serious lower Brazoria County Residents so we would take them around here. Surfside Beach is always a must visit for all who visit. We prefer to go to the public beach rather than actual Surfside. Depending on who it was, we would stop and eat at Seahorse Bar & Grill (for beach front dining), Dorado’s (for great service and a fun view of the intracoastal), or Pier 30 (great atmosphere and best food, but just over the bridge).

My mom lives on the San Bernard River in Brazoria. We would definitely go there to do some swimming, skiing/tubing, fishing, and just hanging out. Dido’s is a fun restaurant on the San Bernard to visit. We actually got married there!

As Angleton residents, La Casona is a staple in Angleton, so there would definitely be some lunches/dinners there. We would also visit The Dirty South, especially if we had a free evening to listen to live music.

Lake Jackson’s downtown area also has a ton of fun restaurants and bars to visit. Our favorite is the Wurst Haus. They have a huge selection of draft beer and you cannot go wrong with their Rueben or Schnitzel.

Ultimately, we live in a secluded area on 15 acres on Oyster Creek, so we would just spend a lot of time at home, riding 4-wheelers/side by sides and hunting/fishing.
