Meet Saluna Chow | Wedding Stationery Designer & Business Owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Saluna Chow and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Saluna, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I’ve always been drawn to creating something meaningful with my hands. When I was planning my own wedding, I realized how much love and care goes into every detail of such a special celebration, and stationery felt like a beautiful and elegant way to set the tone. I started Saluna Creative because I wanted couples to have paper goods that feel like an extension of their story. What began as a creative outlet quickly became a business once I saw the impact that stationery could have, not just for the couple but for the way their guests experienced the day from the very first impression.
From the beginning, two things have guided me: intentional design and client experience. Every suite I create is carefully thought out down to the smallest detail, from the texture of the paper to the finish of the foil and the flow of the typography. At the same time, I want my clients to feel completely cared for throughout the process, starting with the first save-the-date to the wedding day. Weddings are such an emotional celebration, and having a trusted creative partner can take so much off a couple’s plate. That combination of thoughtful design and genuine care has become the foundation of my “why.”

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
What excites me most about my work is how it blends art with experience. I design wedding and event stationery that is not only beautiful but also meaningful and personal to my clients. Every detail, from the wax seal design to the texture of the paper, is chosen with intention so their invitations feel like a reflection of their celebration.
My path here wasn’t a straight line. I come from an Economics and Business background, and before starting Saluna Creative I worked in a traditional corporate setting. I also hold a Lean Six Sigma certification, which fuels my passion to create a streamlined and enjoyable process for my clients. It is an unusual skill set in the wedding stationery world, but it allows me to pair thoughtful, artistic design with a smooth, stress-free client experience. That balance is something I am especially proud of and believe sets me apart.
My background has also shaped the way I connect with my clients. I come from a Chinese family and grew up in the Dominican Republic, and being immersed in different cultures and languages taught me to value diversity and inclusivity. That perspective naturally flows into my work, where I love finding ways to reflect each couple’s unique story. At its heart, my business is about combining creativity with connection, creating keepsakes that not only elevate a wedding day but also serve as tangible reminders of love and joy for years to come.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to give a big thank you to my husband, who has supported me every step of the way and believed in me when this was just a small, unconventional dream. From the very beginning, he encouraged me to keep going and reminded me that I could turn my passion into a real business. His belief in me has made all the difference, especially as I took on the challenges of building a creative career outside the typical 9-to-5.
