Hi Melissa, what do you attribute your success to?
Honestly I think our success is because we always stay people focused. Even at moments when we could easily choose the harsh business person route, we stay focused on what we needed and where we were. Everyone who works with us and for us knows that we will always put people first in all we do.Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Our main firm that has been around for a decade is called Jessecure Business Solutions.We are a virtual back office support firm that also provides operations, Accounting and Administration support in an on demand as needed set up making it a scalable resource for start ups to mid size businesses. When starting our company we realized the lack of access to affordable and reputable services on a small budget, so we found our purpose to help give other SMBs the advantage to succeed that we did not have. It has never been easy until recently. We decided to take the down time forced on us by the current pandemic to re-evaluate all our services and processes to see how we can be even more valuable to our clients. That is when we decided to go ahead and take the risk to partner with some friends and start Sancus Productions LLC. Now we also offer cost effective photography and commerical production to small businesses. We have really enjoyed helping gyms, baseball academies, coffee shops and many others get thier brand out there and believe this partnership really rounds out our other service offers with Jessecure Business Solutions.Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Houston is so diverse that it would require a week to even touch the surface. Of course you cannot come to Houston without going to Luigi’s Pizzeria in downtown Houston. This is where we take employees for birthday lunches or just go on our own. Thier food is the best and the atmosphere is amazing. Places to visit would have to be all of our museums. From the Holocaust Museum to the Buffalo Soldiers National Musuem there is such diversity and history represented in our city that missing it would not do a visit to Houston justice. I am also a huge fan of the Houston Zoo and Musuem of Natural Science. Pre-Covid DIscovery Green had numerous events to meet people from all walks of life, experience culture, take an outdoor yoga class, or movie nights in the park. I still stand by Discovery Green being a great place to just meet people, unplug from technology and be present in the moment experiencing life.Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My husband and business partner Jonathan Steely is completely the reason for my success. Over the course of our relationship we have always pushed eachother in a healthy way to earn more, learn more, and achieve more. It was never about excess, but truly building eachother up to be better assets in the world. We have shared goals but I am definitely more of a risk taker than he is. He supports me when I have to travel for my big plans, or when I decide I want to dive into another venture, while keeping me grounded. Without his support as a partner in life, in business and with our children I could not be where I am.
