We had the good fortune of connecting with Minister Dr. Angela Thomas and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Minister Dr. Angela, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?
I’m from the Midwest, native of Kansas City, MO. Grow up in Witchia KS. Live a short period in Cleveland. I currently reside in Kansas City…I am proud to say I wear many hats Im a minister & community activists. So amusing to think over my lifetime as I journey & go back down memory lane. I recently took my youngest daughter to the neighborhood & the house I use to live in with my grandparents. It brought back so many great memories. I’m so grateful for my Mother Mary Tucker 💓 & My Grandparents Cora Lee Woods & Lloyd Woods RIH!.. They all played a tremendous part of my life & who I am, today. I was always taught have a relationship with God & too keep God first. This moral has kept me grounded, humble, confident & knowing anything is possible with God. I come from strong roots, of labor, loyalty & integrity. I was taught never forget where you came from and whatever you decide to do in life be the best at it. If you’re not going to put your wholeheart into it, don’t waste your time or others. I believe the most important substance that impacted my life was love & compassion for family, myself & others. I was surrounded by so much love. I believe this is the reason why
I love counseling, serving diligently in churches, communities & schools I get so much fulfillment out of serving and
helping others.

What should our readers know about your business?
I am currently working as a contractor in Rehabilitation Healthcare & Mental Health Services. Working earnestly in the field consistently to bring change in health wellness & safety. I will admit its not always easy standing on the frontlines on the job or in the communities. There can be many challenges…especially when you want to help meet the needs of all that you come in contact with. I will admit again you must have great love & compassion for what you do & for the people. If not you will not endure. Although I have further endeavors and plans to pursue my dreams with His Presence Outreach Ministeries we are working on the frontlines & behind the scenes, our passion is to bring change & quality to lives, we are strategic planning to move forward with making a difference in our city.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Let’s see here..We know.. “The Show Me State” is known for Jazz & Barbecue. I would take them to Gates BBQ definitely the day one, then to the Jazz & Blues District….
“The Blue Room for refreshments & Jazz entertainment.”
2. Second day…..
We would absolutely have to go to the Country Club Plaza my favorite place to hang out & dine.. PF Chang 5- Star Restaurant or Cheese Cake Factory…,3.Third day.. Kansas City Power Light District, Bristol Seafood & Steak Bar & Grill. 4th & 5th day. I would take them to the Legends, “Jazz Louisiana Creole Kitchen, with live jazz band. Legends fun, food, & shopping especially Dave & Busters, Bath Body &
candles for their favorite fragrances. The Legends is so fun with so many things to do from dining, movies, shopping, live entertainment in the summer time.. concerts, dancing & skateboarding. Lol! Day 6.. And of course, I could not let them leave Kansas City without taking them to explore Lu’ne Collections Boutique excellent fine West African Attire & after shopping we would go to one of the best soul food restaurants in the city. Breakfast & Lunch lovers in Raytown MO. They would definitely have a lifetime of great memories of Kansas City.
