We had the good fortune of connecting with Diana & Marlen Soriano and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Diana & Marlen, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Marlen and I have been doing lashes since 2018 . We were too comfortable working for someone else over 4 years since we didn’t have much responsibilities. In April 2022 we  decided to take the risk and finally open our own lash studio (VIP LASH STUDIO).

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
We went to beauty school together .We decided to specialized in professional eyelash extensions since is the most relaxing and magical service in the beauty industry . No thing is easy at first ,it took us years of practice to be where we are now . Our most popular set is Natural Russian Volume . We call ourselves lash artists because we create art with lash extensions. We customized different styles for each client that walks in at VIP LASH STUDIO. Seeing our clients happy each time they come for a Fullset or fill is what motivates every day.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Shout out to my sister Marlen , she is the one that had been telling me for 2 years that we should start our own business as lash Artists. Our family have been so supportive as well since day 1. It’s really scary to think you will be having your own business and a lot of responsibilities but it’s all worth it.
