We had the good fortune of connecting with Albi Sabani and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Albi, can you tell us about an impactful book you’ve read and why you liked it or what impact it had on you?
Breaking the Habit of Being You : How to Lose Your Mind and Create a New One by Dr. Joe Dispenza. I’m a huge proponent of personal development. I believe that, like water, if we aren’t changing we become stagnant. Stagnancy invites disease. Dis-ease, is a body out of ease. The power of the mind is incredible, especially when put to correct use. Just like a magnifying glass can create a fire by focusing the light from the sun onto an object, our minds can do the same. But a lot of the time, we are distracted, unmotivated, and out of alignment. This book uses neurological research and studies to show how our brains have been hardwired to adopt beliefs and behaviors that are not our own. Thankfully, if we can take on new behaviors, we can also break them. We are not doomed to a certain fate just because our parents, or the people in our circle are. Epigenetics studies the effect our environment has on our gene expression, and shows that by changing our thoughts and environment, we can alter the production of proteins in our cells and change our state of being. Thus, we literally are what we think. Another reason why I love this book is that Dr. Joe goes into further detail as to how we can achieve this new transformation of breaking the habit of being our old selves, through the power of meditation. As a long time meditator, this resonated with me very deeply. I knew that what I was doing was creating massive changes in my life, but now I knew why. Better yet, I now knew how to effectively meditate to focus my meditations on powerful life transformations. Once you get your hands on this book, I highly recommend one of his follow up books “Becoming Supernatural.” Together, these 2 books are the most powerful tools I could recommend to anyone who’s seeking to become the greatest version themselves. Knowledge is the forerunner to experience. In order to have a new experience, we must receive new information. This book created a structure and level of understanding of how our brains work, which then allowed me to expand my awareness and create a new life. The life I live now is finally in alignment with the goal I’ve always had, and it’s due in large part to this book. Get it. Read it. Meditate. Love yourself. Cheers.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My videography business has evolved from telling cinematic stories to providing clients a ROI. I love what I do, because storytelling has always been at the heart of who I am. But it pained me to see my clients pay for a beautiful Brand Video, only to post it on their website and watch it collect dust. So, I pivoted my business from your standard, run of the mill, video production house – to a Video Marketing Distribution Campaign. I now love to help my clients develop beautiful content on a monthly basis, then turn around and handle the distribution of the content on Facebook, Google, IG, Youtube, and/or Linked In. I had to learn the hard way that no matter how great of a cinematographer I was, or how expensive my gear was priced, my clients mainly were concerned about one thing – Return on Investment. They need to keep the doors open, and that’s why I knew if I wanted to be of better service to my clients, I had to expand. I’m now proud to offer Video Marketing Campaigns to my clients so that I can help them scale their businesses, earn their dream clients, and win back their time.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’d first start by checking what concerts were that week and take them over the Cynthia Woods Pavillion for a great show. Then we’d head over to Tris Bistro around the corner for amazing Happy Hour specials and delicious food items. Or we can indulge in Tris’ Cureight Experience where Chef Austin prepares an 8 course meal tailored to our specific food allergies and preferences. And yes, it’s paired with several wines. Afterwards, we’d go across the street to Goose’s Acre for a night cap and excellent music.
