We had the good fortune of connecting with Aaron The Artist and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Aaron, what is the most important factor behind your success?
I think the most important factor behind my success is Faith. It all started with me believing in myself and my talent. You can’t fully commit to something unless you put your whole heart, mind, and soul into it. That takes faith when you can’t see the end or the long road ahead of you, yet you still continue to commit fully. Even when the road gets extremely rocky and you feel like giving up, the only thing that keeps you going is faith. When it comes to being a creative, being successful comes from networking for opportunities. 8/10 it’s always a high risk, high reward, a gamble. You’ll get an opportunity and it can either change your life or go nowhere. I don’t know if it’s just me but I’ll roll the dice on myself every time and go all in. My success comes from putting everything I have into my work, I truly feel like the artwork is a reflection of the artist. When you see my work I hope you can see the love I have for my art. You’ll see versatility, creativity, & insane attention to detail. Daily I try to be better than who I was yesterday, I also apply this to craft. I always try and make each piece better than the last. When it comes to the business side of things, I go above and beyond for my clients. I treat them like family and I want them to be 1000% satisfied with the work they receive from me. As I stated previously the artwork is a reflection of me so if I’m going to make them a drawing it’ll be something I’m genuinely proud of. I place myself in the shoes of the clients “if I were them I would love this” so I make each drawing as if it were for me. This mentality along with the constant hustle and pure love of art is what has made me successful. Life is all about the lenses you choose to see out of. When I get commissioned for a piece it’s not a job for me, it is an opportunity to sharpen my skills as well get compensated for my time. A win, win. Not only will the client receive a masterpiece but I also get to teach myself and push my artist ability on each drawing. It’s not about the money. My business partner, mentor, friend, Felipe tells me all the time “money is the easy part”. My Art drastically changed when I let go of money and focused more on trying to level up. Now I animate, storyboard, edit videos, paint, and direct, because of him. I have to give Felipe his flowers, he’s one of the “important factors” behind my success. He taught me so much and changed my whole thought process, if it wasn’t for him I wouldn’t be where I am today. You become a boss in your mind long before you acquire the position. Before him I had the mentality of an employee, constantly working for money. Felipe taught me how to become a boss. His guidance elevated my craft at a 10x speed. He believed in me and my artistic abilities more than I did when we 1st crossed paths. Big Shoutout to Felipe, for having faith in me. Thank You.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I feel like my art speaks for itself. It’s not comparable to other artists because I’ve created my own unique styles. I truly feel like there’s not one thing I can’t do. I call myself “The Art Kakashi” if you show me a style I can recreate it and make it my own with ease. Also with the help of my team I’ve been able to offer 3d & animation to my services. Through ATA we are a one-stop-shop. It was very difficult at 1st to try and make a name for myself in the beginning, when you’re just starting out pricing your work, dealing with clients, and trying to market yourself can be a bit overwhelming especially if you’re doing art on your free time. It took me years to create an iconic style that people could only get from me. Once I created my signature style things got easier. It felt so easy after I create a style, I became so confident in it and it allowed me constantly grow. My cartoon style with the help of Kevin’s 3D skills allowed me to bring my characters to life in 3D. Also after years of drawing my cartoon style, I learned how to draw for animation. I draw my characters as if they were real-life 3D objects. It allows my animator Maynor to easily manipulate the pieces and create motion, bringing the characters to life in 2D animation. A big lesson I learned along my journey was teamwork. Life is so much easier when you can count on someone to help you. I want the World to look at me as an example, I truly feel like anyone can do what they love, it is just hard work dedication, and faith. I want to inspire people to make their dreams a reality. Life’s short, don’t die wondering.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
1st I want to shout out to GOD for giving me the ability to live this life and blessing my journey. I want to shout to my best friend Jay, who’s been there since the beginning, someone I’ve been able to fully lean on when things get rough I know I can count on him. Jay being a movie director understands the struggles of a creative 1st hand. Follow him on Instagram you read it here 1st he’s going to be the next biggest director @japhetdadon! A big part of being successful is having a strong support system so big shoutout to my real supporters who always engage with my content and share my work. It’s because of my supporters that I’ve been able to get this far. Shoutout to my family another huge support system for me, and ATA. Again with the help of Felipe we created a whole movement. “Appreciate the Art/Artist”. We have been able to create an insanely talented unstoppable team @ataartistproject. We created it to appreciate and collaborate with each other. ATA gives artists opportunities and exposure to help each one of us grow and level up together. When one of us makes it big well all make it big. We built a supportive community of artists/creatives. It doesn’t feel like a team honestly it feels like a family. So here’s a shoutout to all my ATA family members for also believing in our movement! @kevinanacina3D @blue_dem0n @msudrawings @happyjpeg @hypecc @turnmeuptone @maynorcifu @art_jdf @portiart04 Go follow all my team members show them love!!!
