We had the good fortune of connecting with Sierra Nickole and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Sierra, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I started makeup and hair in middle school as a competitive cheerleader and would do all the girls makeup. I enjoyed the excitement on enhancing someone’s beauty. Just the confidence and light it brings to someone really encouraged me to make it a full time thing. I’ve always been into beauty and fashion and always wanted to have a shop. I knew I liked doing more than just makeup so instead of just using one talent I combined all my talents and made a one stop beauty shop. I feel like it is more convenient because most ladies would have to travel to multiple different places before their event and be stressed. With the one stop beauty shop you come ready to get all of your services done in one place and your able to relax and not have to worry about the stress of having to go to different locations.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I have multiple things I am involved in. I am a brand ambassador, model, beautician, dancer, and micro influencer. I’ve had to set some hard goals and learn discipline in order to keep everything inline. Everything takes time and patience, you won’t get where you want to be within a day or even a few months. I had to learn consistency is key and once you’ve got that down you can conquer the world and do whatever you heart wants you to do!
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Houston is full of fun adventures. I am more of an outdoor activities type of girl. A walk in Herman Park or Buffalo Bayou. Another fun activity is night bike riding in Downtown Houston. Our city is very beautiful during the day but during the night is a whole different vibe. The city lights are so beautiful and reflect off the buildings so well. On another note my favorite food places the Juicy Crab, Chili’s, Texas Roadhouse, and some hole in the wall places.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to give a shout-out to my close love ones. They are always putting me to exceed my limits and go the extra mile. They have always believed in me and encouraged me through the ups and the downs. There was never a moment where I’ve felt judged or felt like I was disappointing them. They always knew I’d get where I needed to be and they weren’t afraid to give me a little push. I am so grateful for my loved ones.
