We had the good fortune of connecting with Adenike Adebayo and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Adenike, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Believing in myself and doing what I want to do regardless of what anyone thinks or says. If I fail, then I fail. But, I’ll still do it anyway. I don’t let society, friends or family dedicate what I can or cannot do because when it comes down to it, it is my life and my passion and my happiness. Above all these, God is my source and sustainer. All the credits go to Him.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I live a joyful life. This sets me apart from other creators. I consider myself a storyteller. Through my work as a content creator, I’m able to tell stories of my life and experiences. The goal is to make an impact and help others learn from where I have been. Also, I joyfully share when I have nothing and joyfully testify when I have in abundance. I’ve learned to enjoy where I am on the way to where I am going. This helps me have a broader perspective on my work, family and life.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Gerald D. Hines Waterwall Park is one of my favorite spots in the city and definitely where we’d explore. We’ll also take a drive through the Houston Mural walls to see the beautiful colors and art. Food! Most especially street foods and food parks all over the city would top our itinerary.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
God, the author and finisher of my faith! My husband. Right from when we met, dated, got married and till now, he’s always given me wings to fly. He supports my dreams, believes in them and pushes me to succeed. My son, he’s my muse, my reason to keep going. My friends and family who give of themselves endlessly. My online friends turned into family, who love, support and pray for me. I’m always grateful for all these people.
