We had the good fortune of connecting with Chuck Bah and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Chuck, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
For me, working each and everyday and feeling miserable was getting old. My wife and I discussed it for months preceding me venturing out on my own. So we put up enough money to pay bills for 90 days. That was my goal if i couldn’t make it work then back to corporate america. I was blessed to have God lead my path and replace what I was making at my employers place.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Everyone has their own lane. I think that’s important in the fitness industry. A lot of mentoring from personal trainers who have been in the industry for over a decade that took me under their wings and allowed me to shadow them. So I didn’t have too many bumps in the road on this journey. My god brother Jeremi Miller of Peak Performance in Friendswood, Texas, Darrell Bolden of DFit Pro Fitness in Cypess, and Fendi Onobun retired NFL player. These men were pivotal in my growth of learning the training industry and helping me avoid some of the same setbacks they encountered. Also my business coach Adrianne Coleman (@ReigningSupreme, @YesWaisted) who has literally transformed my business to what it is today. A huge lesson I learned throughout this process is you have to be willing to seek advice and listen. That’s in all facets of life. The world needs to know I’m coming and I’m wiling to work with any and everybody who share the same goals. There’s room at the top for everyone. A goal is much easier when there’s more people involved in unity.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
This city is so vast and diverse with so much to choose from that’s a good question. For sure Turkey Leg Hut. One day we could go to Clé for a day party. Take a tour of NASA Space Center. I’m not really a outsider so it would depend in the friend. But there’s a wide variety of options to choose from here. So it wouldn’t be difficult to find a good time.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My wife 1000%. She literally allowed me to put our livelihood on the line to go and pursue my dreams. She believed in my vision and that’s exactly what I needed.
