We had the good fortune of connecting with Aj Hitz and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Aj, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Well for me growing up i always had a business mentality and was always interested in how some people work for businesses and some people owned businesses. It was always an intriguing idea to me so i dove deep into books, podcasts, youtube, etc. Essentially trying to learn anything i could about how the business world works. With that being said i always looked at myself as a boss i just didn’t know how or when that would come into fruition, Until December 2020 when covid was in full effect i launched my own business “Ajhitz Productions” which i am very proud of so far. Ultimately Ive learned so much along the way and hope to learn so much more but for me the process was simple, I had nothing to lose but everything to gain therefore i took leap of faith.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My Name is Ajhitz Im a Music Producer / Beat Maker from Houston, Tx , The thing that sets me apart from everyone is the fact that there’s only one of me just like there’s only one of you. Ive always had a deep passion and love for music in fact music has impacted my life in ways i cant explain, For that i’m forever grateful to music. Today i’m no where near where i want to be as far as my producing career goes. However whats important is that Im a better Producer than when i started by far, No it hasn’t been easy but it’s been worth it. Which leads me to few tips i learned along the way. 1. Your only opponent is yourself, 2. Never forget why you started. My goal is to inspire and help as many people possible with my music just as music has done for me.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
All praises to the Most High first and foremost. I would like shout out my Family because without them i wouldn’t be here today their my ultimate inspiration. Shout out to my team for the endless support they know who they are, my brothers from another mother. One book that changed my life forever so much that i got it tatted on me is “Relentless” By Tim Grover one hell of a read thank you Tim for changing my mindset forever. Thank you to anyone else who has helped me along the way i will forever be grateful. Last but not least i would like to thank myself for never giving up .
