We had the good fortune of connecting with Alexandria Park and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alexandria, how has your background shaped the person you are today?
I am so grateful to my parents. My parents immigrated to this country from S. Korea when I was very young. They sacrificed a comfortable life in Korea which ultimately served as the catalyst to my academic career. They taught me the importance of hard work and taking advantage of all the opportunities presented to me. My company puts me one step closer to achieving the dreams that I have had since I was little.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I was first interested in the fine arts in college. Even though my major was in Architecture, I always appreciated art history and painting. I have always loved how some paintings and sculptures tell stories and come alive! It also helped that I went to one of the most recognized art schools. My love for art ultimately led me to the unique design of the aesthetics of space. I would like to be recognized as an Artist as well as a Designer. Where I am today was a long journey of challenges that was well worth it since it gave me the experiences that I can never exchange to anything else.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Houston, TX is a very fun diverse city. First I would like to take them to the city of Houston. In the heart of the city is where my friends can experience the uniqueness of different cultures all within a few miles of each other. We can visit the outdoor market to show them the diversity in people, food and culture. We can also go to the city of Galveston, which is a coastal resort city and port off the Southeast Texas. They can experience being near the ocean where people go for fishing and crabbing over the weekend, and there are also so many delicious restaurants.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to recognize some of my awesome clients who encouraged me by loving my work and hiring me back even a few years later. I really appreciate these people! They truly give me the strength and courage to overcome some of the challenges that come with owning a company. I am grateful to make difference in their homes and ultimately their lives as well.
