We had the good fortune of connecting with Alicia Elatassi and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alicia, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?
‘An idea is just a dream until you make it happen. Execution is where you turn those dreams into reality.
You could say that I’m the queen of execution. I’ve executed on opening a retail business, writing a book, and publishing 170 episodes of my podcast. I know a thing or two. Your dreams remain just that—dreams—unless you take action. You can attend countless classes, listen to all the podcasts, and hire all the coaches in the world, but without execution, your goals will stay out of reach.
Less talented people are doing what you want to do because they decided to take action and execute. Let that envy fuel you!

What should our readers know about your business?
I found my calling in real estate during the turbulent days of April 2020, right in the heart of the pandemic. The world was shifting, and new career was born for me. What started as house flipping, led me to a career where I found creativity and purpose.
I grew up in the Near Northside, very close to downtown Houston. I had that resourcefulness built in me as my community was very scarce. Yet it was that colorful neighborhood that gave me the beginnings of my quest for more. I come to real estate with the spirit of an explorer on the hunt for hidden treasures; my expertise is in discovering these gems, refining them to perfection, and presenting them to lucky buyers. I love the process of transforming houses into homes, each with a unique story waiting to be revealed.

Beyond my real estate career, I dedicate my time to inspiring women through my podcast, *The Señora Vibes Podcast*, where I share insightful interviews and stories. I hope that my story of achievement and growth, can be aspirational. On the podcast I show how all Señoras can be multi-faceted, strong, and expressive. I truly love my community, my listeners, and my clients with my whole heart, it’s the only way I know how.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Houston is such a colorful and diverse city, unlike so many in the US. We have top chef restaurants and amazing museums; there is nothing more fun than doing a “Tex-Mex” foodie tour of our city. I would start at Xochi for unique cocktails and a great vibe. Owners Hugo Ortega and Tracy Vaught take great care of curating authentic Oaxacan dishes and drinks. I would then have dinner at the Original Ninfas, where the fajitas are so delicious, and it also happens to be a local, iconic institution.
The following morning, I’d take you to breakfast at a neighborhood gem like La Mexicana, where we can order a meal that reminds me of Monterrey, los tacos de machacado.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would love to dedicate my shoutout to my husband Rusk, who has invested time and money in my professional and personal growth. He’s been my business mentor and now my business partner. His encouragement to push ahead despite the challenges motivates me daily. His love and support for the last 25 years have been unconditional!
