We had the good fortune of connecting with Allison Goldberg and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Allison, how has your work-life balance changed over time?

I discovered work life balance as a child. I felt secure with my routine of school, homework, and sports. As I grew up, balance continued to be a priority for me, as I always did my best to use work as an opportunity to enjoy life outside the classroom. I discovered corporate life coaching in my late 20s and found that so many struggled to create the balance in their own lives. I helped many of my corporate clients achieve this as well as my private life coaching clients. I’ve been able to work closely with my clients on achieving balance, by focusing on all the different areas of their lives. I see balance as an essential part of being a whole person.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?

I have been a life coach for 26 years. As a life coach, I partner with my clients to set up systems that emphasize giving attention to all different areas that make up our lives. We create SMART(specific, measurable, achievable, timely)goals in each area- health, work, family, friends/relationships, hobbies, finances and spirituality. I am my clients accountability partner. What sets me apart from others in the industry is my holistic approach toward work life balance. I am incredibly proud of my commitment to connect with each client and my ability to tailor each session to the person in front of me. I am also incredibly proud that many television morning shows call on me to do segments on so many different topics. I have been able to have a successful business because I have remained committed to my mission and passion to showing clients how to live an intentional, goal directed life. What I have learned through the years is the value of continued awareness and education to stay updated on coaching best practices. I want people to know that I model in my own life in exactly the same way I coach my clients. I want people to know that I feel like the luckiest person to be able to live everyday helping others live their best lives and be their best selves.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

If my best friend was visiting and had not been here before, below are the highlights that we would hit in Houston.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?

I believe so strongly in having mentors. Some of the biggest influences/mentors in my life are a diverse group including psychologists, self help guru’s, friends, family, inspiring books and informative podcasts.
