We had the good fortune of connecting with Amanda Sullivan and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Amanda, what’s the most important thing you’ve done for your children?
Being a parent is very challenging. I was raised in a single parent home and now I’ve followed that same pattern, raising two kids. The most important thing I’ve done as a parent is show my kids unconditional love, keep God first and remember as siblings to have each others back. I tell my kids as well to save their allowance and not spend it on unnecessary things.
What should our readers know about your business?
Beauti and the Beatz is a small business that is getting into being recognized. What sets us apart from others is our customer service and wanting to do for others. We are super proud because it was just a leap of faith and didn’t care what people thought. Getting to where we are today was challenging and sacrificing things. We want to let everyone know that we are closing until 2024. We are reviewing and revamping things for the future of our business. We will still offer small make up services case by case basis. We also need to be much stronger in applying makeup application and overall more brainstorming on events to help other small businesses. Our CEO is doing everything hands on and a much needed change is required.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my friend came into town we are going to the Black girl museum, ATV riding, shopping and much needed pedi and manicure. We would also go out to eat at State Fare Kitchen and Bar, The Rouxpour and so much more.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
