We had the good fortune of connecting with Amber Lipscomb and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Amber, what matters most to you?
A guiding principle for me throughout my life has been to stay curious. As a creative, its crucial for me, to keep evolving, remain open, and listen to my inner truth. I cannot stay stagnant in my growth for too long and find the most inspiration when I push myself to explore new boundaries.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My work is dynamic and ever-evolving, often encompassing multiple roles simultaneously. Currently, I am an Associate Producer on a beautiful film project, “Devoted In Time,” directed by P.M. Lipscomb, which explores creativity and its profound contributions to our society. I am incredibly proud to be part of this documentary and continuously inspired by everyone involved.

In addition, I work as an independent UX designer, collaborating with clients to design and optimize the overall user experience and provide them with platforms to express their voices. This work is both rewarding and challenging, and I truly enjoy every second of it.

My professional journey has been a continuous evolution of learning, growth, and the discovery of my inner creative voice. I began my career in visual merchandising and fashion styling and later also worked independently as a floral designer. I thrived in the dynamic visual merchandising and styling environment, where each day presented a new creative challenge.

Years later, while working in the entertainment industry in a visual creative role, I had the incredible opportunity to take on a second job becoming the head costume designer for the independent feature film “Clowning.” This amazing position was life-changing. I was incredibly inspired by the drive, vision, and creativity of everyone on set. It was an environment where everyone was passionate and dedicated to the success of the film, and it made me realize that my professional creative journey was just beginning with much more to learn and experience. Despite the initial challenge of managing dual responsibilities, I embraced the opportunity wholeheartedly and have never looked back.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
While living in LA, I spent most of my time in Echo Park, Los Feliz, and Silver Lake. You can’t go wrong in any of these vibrant neighborhoods, with their endless shops, restaurants, and cafes to explore. Creativity thrives here. One of my favorite spots is Little Doms- the inviting ambiance transports you to another place. It’s the perfect spot to spend time with friends and loved ones. Plus, Griffith Park is right in your backyard. A hike to the Griffith Observatory, with breathtaking views of the city, is the best way to get inspired and start the day!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to dedicate my Shoutout series to the many people who have lifted me up and guided my inner light throughout my life.
