We had the good fortune of connecting with Anastasia Carter and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Anastasia, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
My business is encompassed around you investing in your financial future, through real estate. Whether you’re a first time homebuyer making the biggest investment of your life thus far, or a seasoned investor looking to build your wealth portfolio, my business is a versatile, educationally based service that will maximize your dollar. I am also a veteran who works with other veterans to purchase or sell property.

What should our readers know about your business?
Real estate is something both my husband and I grew up inspired by. We both believe in ownership and building generational wealth through financial literacy, hard work and community. I obtained my license so that we would be able to reach more kinds of homebuyers (not only investors) Along the way, I’ve met some amazing people who have also made real estate their career and through those relationships, I had access to many mentors that helped mold my business and strategy. A great lesson I’ve learned is: I cannot help everyone. I have a business strategy that I practice in my personal life, that I can teach to anyone willing to learn. That is my land and I stay in it. I would like the world to know that I stand proudly with Black women, wives, mothers, veterans and investors. We are capable of incredible things and I strive to embody our elegance and power by empowering all of my clients to reach and surpass their real Estate goals .

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I live in one of the fastest growing cities in the U.S. Good ‘ol H-Town! I’ve been here three years and have experienced most of the hot spots. Food, luxury date nights and kid-friendly activities are my lifestyle.

For a week, I’d definitely recommend you stay at The Post Oak Hotel. Some go-to eating: Brenner’s on the Bayou, Lucille’s (for live music) and Lost & Found for amazing cocktails.

For shipping, can’t beat Galleria or Memorial Mall.

If there are children, Memorial mall has a great indoor park (free) of course the zoo/aquarium. Discovery Green is a great place to expel their energy while you picnic under the trees.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to thank God for allowing me to step gracefully into this purpose. My parents and extended family members are real estate landlords, investors, property managers, contractors and more. My husband, my teammate is also a serial entrepreneur and real estate investor. Of course, my wonderful brokerage Houston Center Real Estate, where my mentor Marilyn has been there with me through every transaction.
