Meet Angie Del angel | Owner of NG Jewelry

We had the good fortune of connecting with Angie Del angel and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Angie, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I had one thing in my mind while starting my business and that was making myself and my family proud. At the time I started my businesses I was a stay at home mom and although that was an amazing experience I needed more. I needed something for myself, I needed to have something of my own. I felt like time was passing me by and I was stuck doing the same thing. One day out of the blue I decided I wanted to start this amazing journey. I wanted to prove to Myself that I could do it. I wanted to make myself proud and my family. Prior to being a mom I was one year away from becoming a nurse and for personal reasons I couldn’t finish. This affected me so much. Although I knew the reason for not finishing school were out of my hands I felt like a failure. I felt like I let my mom down. It took me a while to pick myself up but when I did I had the determination to start my business and make it a success.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
NG Jewelry is my pride and joy. NG Jewelry is a Latina owned business that sells only gold plated jewelry. What I feel sets me aside from others is my authenticity and genuine love for my customers. I am big with social media and since day one I have been my true self and have shown who I am to my followers. I show my struggles, my wins, my insecurities, my fears, etc and by doing this I have been able to create a community of followers that not only love the product I sell but that are also so proud of my accomplishments. The thing I am most proud of is the amazing bonds I have created with my followers. It feels good to know that they feel proud of how far I’ve come. It feels good to see them cheering me on and support my business. It’s taken a lot to get to where I am today but the number one thing is determination.! I am determined to win to make my business a success. Was it easy.? Absolutely Not, nothing in life is easy. Having your own business is definitely a struggle. I’ve had countless sleepless nights, markets in the blazing heat, and freezing weather. One lesson I’ve learn through my journey is that we are all capable of creating the life we want. We just need to want to make it happen. The world should know that NG Jewelry is a brand to look out for. I will pave my way to the top. I will work hard to make my small business dream become a reality.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would take her to popup markets around Houston. Local food places and parks

I’m a big breakfast person so I would take her to local Mexican restaurants and for fun I’ll take her thrifting and to local markets. I do a lot of markets on the weekends to I know they are a lot of good ones around Houston

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Absolutely my husband, mom, and son. My success is totally because of them. They give me the strength and determination to keep pushing to make my business a success.
