We had the good fortune of connecting with Ann Davis and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ann, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I prefer to make money doing what I love and not to make a rich man richer.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I am the proud owner of Houston’s LGBTQA+ Event planning company. I cater to all of those in our community, when others say no, Envy Events by Anvy says of course!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take her to ride the bar bikes in downtown Houston so we can bar hop and enjoy multiple locations in one night. The rest of the time we would play by ear.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would love to dedicate my shoutout to my 4 sons and 6 grandkids. They are the reasons I push myself to succeed.
