We had the good fortune of connecting with April Littmann and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi April, what do you attribute your success to?
The one attribute that we believe has lead to our success is the ability to always put our clients first. When starting a new design project, we always ask ourselves how does this furniture selection, or this kitchen countertop, or this paint color best serve our client and best serve the overall design? By keeping our client in mind through all aspects of the design process, and serving them to the best of our ability, this has created a superior level of customer service for our business.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Neighbor Interiors is an award-winning full-service interior design firm that was founded with the mission to serve our neighbors by creating a place that they would love to call home. We believe that interiors should not only be beautiful, but that they should also be functional for our clients’ lifestyle. To us, home is more than the rooms that fill a house. It’s where you make memories with your friends and family, it’s where you relax and seek comfort after a hard day at work, and it’s where you rest your head at night. It is an honor for us to be able to create these spaces. What sets us apart from others is our ability to design for any style. From traditional to transitional interiors, we are able to capture our clients personal style and bring it to life through interior design. We are also different in that we not only design for residential spaces, but we also create interiors for multi-family housing and small commercial offices. We are proud of who we are as a business and the projects that we have the opportunity to work on. We have a new construction multi-family project in the works that is going to be very exciting once complete!
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Being located in Fort Bend County, there are so many fun spots to visit and eat at! From eating at Anthonie’s in Simonton to nature walks at Brazos State park in Needville, the list goes on! For fresh coffee, The Perfect Latte in Richmond is a great spot to check out. If you have little kids, a causal play date at Frog Snails and Fairy Tales in Sugarland is wonderful! I would recommend lunch from Harlem BBQ and then plan a fun day outdoors. We enjoy taking walks around Richmond (especially near Oyster Creek) or downtown Richmond too. A great dinner spot is Victor’s Mexican Grille. That is our favorite Mexican food for sizzling fajitas and tasty margaritas! A few more favorite local spots to visit would be the Museum of Natural Science in Sugarland, the Fulshear Farmers Market (every Saturday!), Blessington Farms for fresh blueberry and strawberry picking, LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch in Katy for shopping, and of course catch a Skeeters baseball game.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to give a special shoutout to Adam, my loving husband. Not only has Adam taken a key role in the business, he has also supported me along the way. Owning your own business has so many twists and turns, but Adam has been a solid foundation through it all and encouraged me when I needed it the most. I would also like to thank our family and friends for all of their support too! Through brand design, website help, client referrals, and the list goes on, they have helped us in so many ways. We couldn’t be where we are without them!
