We had the good fortune of connecting with Beth Holbrook and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Beth, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
The biggest thing I wanted was to be able to stay at home with my son and be active and involved in his school activities. I love being able to be there for him and my husband, but also getting to do what I love, being crafty and making things.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m actually branching out and not just doing shirts and decals anymore. I’m doing tumblers, home decor and resin items as well now. I’m excited about adding a couple more people to my team so that we can offer even more items and a faster turn around time. I’ve definitely learned a lot along the way. I’ve always been a kind and giving person but not everyone is the same way and sometimes it’s a hard lesson to learn but you just have to keep pushing and going. I just want to keep making pretty things and enjoying what I do.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
This one is hard because there are so many fun places to visit and eat. I think I’d start in Galveston at the Hotel Galvez, their drinks are amazing and the history is great. Then we would continue to the ferry to watch the dolphins and lay on the beach and enjoy the sun, for dinner we would go to this super cute dive called Gypsy Joynt. After showing off some awesome spots for photos and history we would make our way up to Houston. Downtown first to see the museums and enjoy the parks.. For a quick bite we would head to the Aquarium. Then I think we would head out to Austin and Hill country to take in the sights there as well.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There are a lot of people who deserve credit and recognition for where I am today. First my family, they are always there when I need help or a little push when I get down. My friends are amazing, they encourage me and are always willing to jump in hands on and help. Last but not least my amazing customers, with out them I wouldn’t be anywhere near where I am today. They are constantly coming to me with new ideas and I love the challenges they throw at me.
