We had the good fortune of connecting with Beto Liòndeux and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Beto, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I wanted to give something to our youth in Latin America that seem to be struggling with huge complexes and fears about starting up a business, there is a psychology that permeates in their mind of insecurity, lack of confidence, not knowing their own potential and whaty they are capable of. So, I wanted to bring some light on entrepreneurial topics but with a realistic approach and reachable goals – for instance, I dont consider proper to sell them the idea of becoming rich, nor making six figures income in a month with certain techniques. Although, you could do it, but in the context those youth live in, the way to tackle the problem is not promising them to be rich, it is encouraging to move in their life with their project.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I started in the bank industry, working at JP Morgan Chase as a Mortgage Manager – it was a great opportunity to develop leadership, team bonding, customer service, and business management skills. I also worked as a Business Coach for Capital One, got to learn a lot from the bankign and financial industry, but also how to deal with business partners, how business outsourcing works, how to allocate resources for a business, learn about return of investment, and also learned top marketing skills. I eventually moved into the NGOs sector and worked as Public Relationships Manager, Resource Mobilization Specialist, Communications Officer and Research and Marketing Expert. I am very proud that in every place I have worked, I always moved up the ladder. I always move among the structures and competed with the best. I survived and had success in fast pace competitive environments. It was not easy at all, it required a lot of patience and nights crying and frustrated, but I overcame that by talking to people, asking help, watching others do the job, learning what were my mistakes and observing what were theirs, and then put in practice everything.
I am your guy when it comes to move you from Point A to point Z in your business life. I can walk with you and help you change your mindset and break all the paradigms that usually keep us poor and unhappy. I grow with you and we both learn together. I dont give you a service, I give you the best of me to grow your business.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take them to eat to a nice place to eat, then go and have some drinks, and finally just drive around the city for a tour.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I primarily thank God, I am a believer and my spiritual life is linked tight with principles and strategies I apply in the work place and business. I also thank Neil Patel, he was my mentor through his videos, I learned a lot from him on how to setup your brand, business, and website and monetize that all together. He was very inspiring for me, I watched him every day and I became extremely excited to pursue my dreams because of his encouragement. Also, the books “So Good They Can’t Ignore You” and “From Good to Great” helped me big time in giving entrepreneurship a new approach – I learned that passion is not enough is not all you need to pursue your dreams – you also need capital knowledge, technical skills, and ensuring that you are not good in what you do…but that you are the best man for the job.
