We had the good fortune of connecting with Bjorn “Beez” Hendricks and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Bjorn “Beez”, can you tell us about a book that has had a meaningful impact on you?
Rich dad poor dad. That book is the foundation of every single thing that I have done to create the success that I have achieved. In it, the author speaks about the cash flow quadrant and how most people start in the employee quadrant, maybe go down to self-employed, and often forget to continue on to be a true business owner. The crazy part is that even with me knowing that I still stayed in the business owner quadrant for way too long, because there was one more quadrant left…..that’s the Investor quadrant! As an investor, you get to work ABOVE the business instead of IN or ON it. The investor quadrant is where you get the MOST of your time back and also has the greatest path to creating true wealth! Uncovering the secrets and mindset of living in that quadrant has truly shaped my life and future goals.
What should our readers know about your business?
The Business Builders Institute is paving the way to reshaping the mindset of entrepreneurs by providing the tools and resources to create generational wealth and living a life of freedom. It came to fruition because I wanted to share all that I’ve learned along my entrepreneurial journey and the success that is possible for all. While it wasn’t an easy path to discover on my own, it can be much easier for someone who has a bit of guidance. Through mentorship and mistakes, we can all continue to grow and push the limits of what success really is. The fact that I can now help young adults get a greater head start in life, and change the direction of their future, is the greatest reward I could ever ask for!
I’ve identified 4 principles of success that have been at the foundation of everything I do 1) Networking is key 2) You have to leave some people behind 3) You have to buy seats at tables you want to sit at 4) You have to also “build your own table”. Add into those 4 principles a focus on Financial Literacy and always seeking knowledge and you have a powerful foundation to create success.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I live in Fort Lauderdale, FL and if a best friend was visiting, I’d definitely have to start with the beaches and downtown areas for a bit of relaxation. However, what I consider exciting seems to always come back to business and learning new things. I love museums and financial/business districts when it comes to having fun. In South Florida, we are now becoming the center of the Cryptocurrency world and there are many places reflecting that change which are great tourist destinations. Most importantly though, I also love to travel and explore new areas, so if it was my choice, I’d have my friend go on a trip with me to another country before just visiting me in my city.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Thank you to Robert Kiyosaki for the insight and inspiration from his Rich Dad, Poor Dad books. Also thanks to Roland Frasier, Ace Chapman and others in the M&A space for paving the way to making business acquisitions more accessible for the average person.
