We had the good fortune of connecting with Brandon Boudy and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brandon, what’s the most important lesson your business/career has taught you?
One of the most important lessons that I learned is consistency is key.

In order for the business to continue to stride, grow and be profitable you have to have a process in place.
I have learned that when doing schedules, recipes, taxes, day to day activities that a properly planned process helps to keep everything in order. Definitely I’m not saying that there wont be hiccups or mishaps but having a consistent process in place makes it more manageable.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
The thing that sets Betty Jeans Creole Cuisine apart is it signature BJ Cajun sauce, it has its own FLAVOR that stands out. Our menu is based on what our consumers like. We definitely stride to ensure our flavors are provided in every bite. We try to incorporate new dishes based on demand without compromising or flavors. Each menu item went through a 3 step tasting process to ensure its spot on our menu.

3Step Process
1. Me
2. Family & Friends (Biggest Critics)
3. Customers

We are most proud of our consistency in flavors and the fact that any dish we stands out and can be replicated but never duplicated.

Where Betty Jeans is today took a lot of hard work, dedication, late nights, faith and trust in God to guide us along this path.

Definitely this wasn’t an easy process but it has and still is worth it.

I have learned that I am the brand and that what Betty Jeans Creole Cuisine present to this world is a direct reflection on me. So my goal as a business owner is to provide great customer service, quality food and an experience that will stay with you!

Betty Jeans Creole Creole started as a catering company in 2016 out of my home and once I began building the brand I decided to step on faith and open our 1st food Truck in 2020 and now we have opened a 2nd food Truck in 2021 and we are looking to open a Brick and Mortar by 2022. Our goal is provide quality food. spice, and flavor in every bite of any dish we provide. we have set menus for both trucks but also offer different specials occasionally to allow our clients to experience other dishes that we offer. We also still provide catering services for any event of any size.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Erma Rose Winery for some great wine and definitely one of the Food Truck Parks so that they could experience some of the different flavors here in Houston.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I definitely want to give thanks to God and my family and especially my wife and my mom for believing and supporting in my vision for Betty Jeans

I learned a lot of my business insights from a one of my childhood friends, Bryce, who let me shadow his business and educated me on how the behind the scenes aspects work.

And also our clients who support us and give us real reviews to let us and the public know the work we are doing is moving in the right direction
