We had the good fortune of connecting with Breonna Harris and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Breonna, can you share the most important lesson you’ve learned over the course of your career?
If there is one thing I can say that I learned from my business is that in order to build you absolutely have to stay consistent, and never underestimate yourself. When you sell a physical product, it’s important to have the necessary inventory. [In a way, its showing your customers that you support them the same way they support you]
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Im really proud of the outcome and the support that I receive. Initially, I doubted myself. I went into business thinking that I would have the support of immediate family and friends but what really kept me going is the support from my out-of-network clients and customers. getting to where I am with my business, It definitely was a mix of trial and errors, dealing with issues and remaining on top of so many aspects of growth at what felt like 24 hours a day, so it definitely was not “easy” by any means. Some lessons that taught me was having patience and being understanding goes a long way. Once I strengthen these skills, there were less hiccups and less bumps in the road. What I would want the world to know about my brand or my story is actually on the very first page of the planner. Its a short story about how I love the feeling of crossing things off of my to-do list, and the feeling I get when I’ve succeeded at my accomplishments. I challenged a good friend of mine to put the planner to the test, she hasn’t looked back since! In addition to being a tool for accomplishing goals, the stories that friends and clients share always inspire me to keep going!
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
A little secret about me and my friends is that we love that Houston has so many amazing restaurants! First places on the list would have to be Turkey Leg Hut, Taste Bar, Thirteen and Prospect Park. If we want to grab a cocktail or two, we would definitely stop by The Address, Camp, or Kiss. There’s so many places where you can go out have a good time and just vibe with good friends.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Absolutely, I have to say that I would want to give the biggest shoutout to my designer Dymenaiicreative. I give her the most credit because without her, my product wouldn’t be what it is today. She was a referral from a friend who she did designs on another product with, and over time our business relationship worked out so well, and were good friends still to this day.
