We had the good fortune of connecting with Briana Campbell and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Briana, what do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my faith and belief that La Verte is what I am supposed to be doing. It is my way of being able to help others. I also attribute my success to my willingness to continually learn from various individuals and situations. I never allow myself to get to a place where I feel like I can’t learn or grow. Finally, even though our products are handmade, they don’t look handmade. They have a luxurious look and feel to them.

What should our readers know about your business?
Here at La Verte, it is our mission to promote health and wellness through natural and functional skincare. We not only create natural products but also products that are beneficial to your skin’s overall health. I love playing a positive role in an individual’s physical and mental health. It wasn’t easy to get to this level. I have had many setbacks, failures, and heartbreaks. They were all apart of the journey. I still have a ways to go on my journey. There is much to achieve and learn with my business. There are a few lessons that I have learned. First, you will fail many times. There is nothing wrong with that as long as you keep getting back up and learning from each setback. Second, you will lose many friends along the way. There is a certain mindset that you must have as a Entrepreneur. I learned that the hard way. Some of my friends did not have that same mentally. In order to get to where you want to be with your business, some friends will not be able to accompany you on your journey. You will find yourself as the odd ball and that is okay. Lastly, never stop believing in yourself or your dream. This will get you through some of the toughest times in your life concerning your business. The thing that I want the world to know about my brand is that we truly do care about your well being. We use skin, which is the largest organ on our bodies, as our platform to make a better you.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well unfortunately, as I am writing this it is during the COVID quarantine. Having basically sat at home for over a month not being able to go anywhere, I never realized how much I missed being out and about in the city. There are so many places and things that I would love to be doing right at this moment. There are definitely several spots that I would love to hangout at that are for the over 30 crowd. For some wine, food and good live music I would head to B’s Wine Bar in Missouri City, TX (suburb of Houston). For a nice relaxing atmosphere, good drinks, music, and a cigar, I would go to the Humidor in Stafford, TX (Suburb of Houston). Davenports in the city is also another place to go to for socializing, good drinks, and music. There are so many places here is Houston and its metropolitan area. I have only named a few. I am a vegetarian and Houston has a buffet of awesome eateries that fit my needs that I eat at on a regular basis . Some eateries include Sunshine’s, SoulFood Vegan, The Loving Hut, and The BBQ Sauce Company.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There are a few people that I would like to dedicate my shoutout too. First, my mother Belinda Campbell who taught me to appreciate the natural beauty of things. Second, my son Demetrius Jones who at the age of 4 was my best critic/tester for my products. Thirdly, my business coach and mentor, Reginald Thompson who has helped take me and my business to the next level, even when I was fighting him every step of the way. Lastly, I would like to dedicate this shoutout to EVERYONE who has supported me in any capacity. I can’t name you all but know your support and encouragement has meant the world to me. You all know who you are!
