Meet Mariela Aguirre | Owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Mariela Aguirre and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Mariela, how does your business help the community?
The initial thought process of starting Lone Star Capital Diamond was to help individuals start THEIR businesses. Serving others with the tools and resources we have has always been a motivational factor for us. Within all the LSCD businesses, it is important to do the same. As we all know, many companies will not hire someone without some form of experience. So when the opportunity to help a college student gain experience in her majoring field was brought to us, we immediately acted on it. She was having a hard time finding a company who would take her with no experience so we contracted her as a Marketing consultant for Lone Star Capital Diamond. With the experience she gained with us, she was able to add that on to her resume and land a job within her field. We were overjoyed to have been able to get her to her next step in life.
This is only the beginning for LSCD, with the future development of a non-profit organization in the works, we hope to reach even more people to help them achieve their goals and build-up their future.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
This interview came right on time with a current major career shift. I actually left a corporate position of 16 years this year and decided to take on a career shift towards real estate. Tramontina USA nurtured and molded me with the business background and intelligence I have today in order to support Lone Star Capital Diamond. Not only that, but I am also able to implement my many years of experience on to the new position, as Business Development Manager, with Real Property Management West.
With RPM West, I can already see how my new experiences will help support and scale a new side of Lone Star Capital Diamond Real Estate. We are going full speed ahead!
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Where to begin!? With how diverse the city of Houston is, we have a wide variety of places to see but especially places to eat. The best food spots would have to be: Aga’s Restaurant, Pho Saigon (West Airport location in Sugar Land), Jang Guem Tofu and BBQ House, Kata Robata, Tacos Tierra Caliente, and Cooking Girl. There are plenty more but those would be my go-to’s.
With Houston also being a central location, we are within range to many other major cities to indulge from too! Austin, Corpus Christi, San Antonio, Fredericksburg, Freeport/Galveston, NOLA, are all just hours away and perfect for quick day trip or weekend trip. I love that Houston is positioned so well!
“Night out on the town” spots are usually easy to come by with hotspots such as Washington Ave, Main St,, Midtown/Montrose, and EADO. Amongst those locations, some good hangout spots I like are Sunset, Truck Yard, and a little hidden gem called Poison Girl.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
We wouldn’t be where we are today if it were not for the support system. Between them being readily available to hear vent sessions or them bringing up Lone Star Capital Diamond to someone who could benefit from our services, the support system is imperative to our success. It keeps the engines going!
