We had the good fortune of connecting with Britney Lippke and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Britney, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
When I initially decided to start Koba’s Four Paws Institute it was because I had been through the ringer with other companies I had worked for when it came to training. I saw things that I couldn’t imagine! I realized these were people I wouldn’t trust with my own service dog, Koba! It quickly made me realize that as much as I love training I could no longer do it with the companies I was with! I wanted to be able to help people in my community get the training they needed from someone they could trust! From that came the beginning of Kobas Four Paws! We started as a one girl show doing mobile training driving from place to place, day after day, to finally being in a climate controlled facility with an amazing staff! This has been a life changing experience! It’s even lead me to finally starting a nonprofit for Veterans and others who need a service dog! We are so excited to grow in our community as well as others!
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
None of this was easy! Every step forward was a challenge it felt like the old saying goes one step forward to get knocked two steps back but with a lot of persistence and pep talks we made it! I’m proud of my awesome team who has been able to help my company grow. I couldn’t do it without them or our amazing clients. I’ve learned to never give up even when times get hard that we can work through it! We are starting a service dog non profit to be able to help others in need called KFPI service dogs.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
This process has been crazy but so fun, exciting, and rewarding in more ways than one! In all reality, I wouldn’t be where I am today without my amazing clients and their awesome pups! It’s been a privilege to meet each and every one of them! As well as my friends and family who stood beside me and never let me quit! Last but not least I would have to give a huge thank you to my staff! They have made so much of this possible with out even knowing it!
