We had the good fortune of connecting with Brittany Dominics and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brittany, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I believe that God blessed with the gift of creativity. I never decided to pursue a creative career, it’s just always been within me and apart of me.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a creator, wardrobe stylist, and designer. What sets me apart from others is that I’m never trying to be like anyone else. I feel like we live in an age where social media has conformed peoples’ minds to think that we all must be doing this and that at this age and if we’re not, we’re behind. This leads to many people trying to do what the next person is doing just to stay relevant. Many people are doing the same thing, looking the same, and there’s just no originality now. With the creative mindset and gifts God has blessed me with, I’m constantly thinking of new ideas, new ways to experiment with fashion, new approaches to take. I’m never trying to be like the next person and I feel like that’s what sets me apart the most. I’m most excited about showing the world BrittLooks beyond what it is now. I got to where I am today through God, consistency, and discipline. The journey has definitely not been easy. Over the years, I realized that people you know will not support you until it’s the popular thing to do. Once I started going viral on TikTok and Instagram, people who have been following me for years and barely liked or interacted with any of my content started reposting me. It was shocking to see, because it’s 2022 and it took you all these years to start supporting me? But nonetheless, I’m grateful for all the challenges I’ve been faced with and how far I’ve come.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
First of all, shoutout to God. Everything I do and everything I am is because of Him. Also I want to say shout out to my close friends (they know who they are). I can always count on them to be honest and open with me when I bring my ideas to them.
